Hi. I’m Matt, an independent graphic designer in Lexington, Kentucky. If you need a logo or any other graphics to help your cause, event, or organization connect with your community and customers, I’d love to work with you. Please fill out the contact form below, and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible. Below the form is an outline of my process and some other basic info.
Want to work together? Great! What happens next? Here’s a rough outline of my process.
First, I’ll ask general questions – project scope, budget, deadline – so I can give you an accurate quote. If we agree to move forward, I send a contract and ask for a 50% deposit, a standard practice that ensures both parties are fully invested in the project.
Next is the fun part. I’ll send a creative brief, a questionnaire designed to help me get to know you, your business, and your goals for this project. Then I start researching and sketching. Once I find some solid concepts, I flesh them out on my computer and send you 1-3 design concepts. Hopefully, you’ll love one of them immediately. If not, it’s ok. Just give me honest, concrete feedback, and I’ll revise (number of major revisions will be agreed upon in contract stage). Once you’re happy with the design, I send a final invoice plus a full file package containing what you’ll need for both print and web.
Upon project completion and full payment, clients receive full ownership of design files and rights to use them as they deem necessary. I retain rights for portfolio purposes only.
Right to refusal
I hope to conduct business with all interested clients. However, it is my prerogative to refuse any project that would endorse positions that conflict with my convictions or otherwise reflect poorly on my business. If time constraints prevent me from taking on a project, I will refer you to another designer who can meet your needs.
