Brian Marsh is a wedding and family photographer from Western Massachusetts. His work is stunning and artistic, perfectly capturing his subjects’ personalities. The problem? His logo was a harsh contrast. The jagged typeface was suited more toward a heavy metal band than a wedding photographer.
One element from the original logo he liked, however, was the star. We decided to keep it and make it the central element. The partial star now works with other appropriate elements – an aperture that blends into the image and a gentler typeface – to create a more inviting look. I designed the logo with photo overlays in mind so that he could have a watermark that firmly brands his business while complementing the beautiful photography.
