Lexington, Kentucky is known as the Horse Capitol of the World, and that equine-induced enthusiasm spills over into many other industries. Its now made its way into local coffee culture. The Giddy Up Coffee Company will soon be operating out of a renovated horse trailer, allowing them to deliver delicious beverages and baked goods all over the Lexington area.
The Giddy Up crew wanted a logo that was bold and fun without leaning on cliches (no horses, no coffee cups). They also wanted the logo to have a friendly, vintage feel without being blatantly retro. A simple circle/arrow shape and the right typography combination struck just the right tone. This fun mark is versatile enough to appear on everything from mugs to stickers to the trailer itself, giving Horse Capital residents a signal that it’s time to put some Giddy Up in their cup.
